Hello! My name is Lorena Garcia. I decided to start this blog because I think Reproductive justice is one of the most mis-understood concepts out there. I don’t want to claim that I am the expert, because I am not. but, I do have some experience and want to share with people how to view things through a reproductive justice lens.
What is reproductive justice? i believe this is when the identities you walk in every day, your gender, race, age, sexual orientation, citizenship, education level, etc, or where you live, or how much money you make should never interfere with your ability to make a reproductive or sexual health decision. these decisions can be having kids, not having kids, HIV treatment, treatment for cervical or breast cancer, what kind of contraception to use, what foods you eat, how to engage in safer sex practices and more.
